Knitting Pattern for Shades of Grey Scarf

Shades of Grey
I love to work with various colors. Mostly I use bright and cheerful colors when designing toys. Then, every once in a  while I think about the shades of grey, black and whites.
This scarf was inspired by my design of Cable Pillow with Heart in the e-book Knit Season. I love the intertwined cable and wanted to play with it a bit more. I wanted to add a bit of color and by using I-cord edge the scarf has nice and elegant edge.

Knitting Pattern for Calypso Dream Cowl

Calypso Dream Scarf
Calypso Dream Cowl or Infinity Scarf is knitted in the round with brioche stitch. For a nice and polished edge, the I-cord bind off is used, and I-cord is added to the cast on row.

Finished measurements:
Cowl: 25” (64 cm) long and 5.75” (15 cm) wide.
Double Wrapped Cowl: 46” (117 cm) long and 5.75” (15 cm) wide.
Infinity Scarf: 63” (160cm) long and 5.75” (15 cm) wide.

Yarn: Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere Worsted (70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon)
200 yards per 4 oz.
You will use about 180 – 200 yards (cowl), 280 – 300 yards (double wrapped cowl), 380 - 400 yards (infinity scarf).
1 skein (cowl), 2 skeins (double wrapped cowl), 2 skeins (infinity scarf)
Sample is knitted in Aqua Jet Nr. 26.

This Infinity Scarf is one of 26 knitting patterns in the book Spring Accessories Collection edited by Knitpicks and published in February 2015.

To have my design accepted is wonderful experience. Even though the process from the submission to the finished pattern took months,  it is such a privilege that I am very proud of.
